What is Colostrum?

Bovine colostrum is the nutrient-dense, immune-active, "first milk” that is secreted by female cows for three days after giving birth. Cows can produce up to five gallons of colostrum with just the first milking after birth. Colostrum contains impressive amounts of antibodies called immunoglobulins (such as IgA, IgG, and IgM). IgG is a critical type of antibody for the immune system, representing 75% of serum antibodies in humans. Research has shown that supplementation with bovine colostrum can support proper immune function.*

Additionally, bovine colostrum contains a wide range of other natural immune factors that may support immune health such as amino acids, nucleotides, and growth factors that support the immune health of a newborn calf.* This highly nutritious fluid sustains calves for three days after birth and can provide immune support to humans as well.*

DO QUANTUM PRODUCTS CONTAIN HYDROGENATED OIL, FLAVORING ADDITIVES, ARTIFICIAL COLORS, OR FRAGRANCE?

No, we do not use hydrogenated oils, nor do we use any additives that alter the flavor, color, or fragrance of the product. Our products are also made without:

Added preservatives like potassium sorbate
Non-nutritive excipients like magnesium stearate
Talcum powder, an anti-clumping powder and suspected carcinogen

DOES QUANTUM TEST FOR STABILITY?

Yes, we test our products at a wide range of storage conditions, including stressed conditions to simulate advanced degradation scenarios that can include relative humidity up to 75% and temperatures as high as 104 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure the product remains stable when stored as directed on the label.

We also use nitrogen or argon flushes on many products to remove oxygen from their storage containers, extending the shelf-life. We also add moisture desiccants to keep the product dry.

Furthermore, we store our products in our exclusive VioliteTM containers. These dark violet-colored, polyethylene bottles are designed to prevent radiation damage to the ingredients by blocking light wave frequencies between 450 and 720 nanometers.

WHEN SHOULD I TAKE MY SUPPLEMENTS?
