Tired of the Excess Weight? What You May Not Know – Advice from Dr. Robert Marshall, Ph.D.

As a country, we have now reached the point where sadly, the majority of Americans have body mass indexes (BMI’s) above the ideal range. In other words, too many of us are overweight and even obese ... and that number continues to climb each year. The simple condition of reaching and maintaining a healthy weight tremendously supports your overall health and is an enormous help to prevent and control many diseases and conditions. In this episode of HealthLine Live Radio Show, Dr. Robert Marshall, Ph.D. and co-founder of Quantum Nutrition Labs, shares what he sees as key nutritional support factors for healthy weight management.

If you are overweight or obese, you are at higher risk of developing serious health problems, including heart disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, gallstones, breathing problems, certain cancers, and much more. Dr. Marshall warns, “Even one pound of excess body fat – ONE POUND – can mean you are experiencing ongoing chronic inflammation, which over the years can be an invitation to cancer or much worse.” That is why maintaining a healthy weight is so important: it helps lower your risk for developing these problems, helps you feel good about yourself, and gives you more energy to enjoy life.

In addition to adopting a healthy diet that is heavily plant-based as well as regular exercise, Dr. Marshall recommends supplementing with a thermogenic nutritional formula that can help kick off the fat burning process in the body. Thermogenic supplements contain natural ingredients designed to boost your metabolism and increase fat burning. “Coupled with the Biofield Diet, a thermogenic formula can help get the body to start burning fat and continue to burn it.” He continues, “This may be just what you need to prime the pump and start burning all the fat you don’t want.”

Another support player for weight concerns that is often overlooked? Adaptogenic herbs. They play a key role in healthy weight management by helping promote a balance of all the hormones in the body. “Whether the hormone levels are too high or too low, an adaptogenic herb gets in there and brings balance,” explains Dr. Marshall. “This will give you the best help for hormone support throughout the body.”

Finally, if you’re looking for a powerful breakfast, Dr. Marshall suggests making a smoothie with whey protein powder. “This is a delicious, protein-rich blend that’s really great for lean body weight. You can consume this right after a hard workout, or make an afternoon snack, when you’re at maximum insulin sensitivity, to keep you from slumping as the day wears on.” He recommends simply tossing the whey into a blender along with some bananas or blueberries, or whatever fruit you enjoy, and you’ve made yourself a real stick-to-your-guts, tasty and protein-rich drink!

Dr. Marshall urges, “When you get to that ideal weight, you want to stay there the rest of your life.”
