Favorite Employee Recipes at QNL: How to Use Superfoods in Your Diet

Superfoods can pack an incredible amount of nutrients into your diet, but many people struggle to find ways to fit in these foods. Never fear, Quantum Nutrition Labs employees are here to share some of our favorite recipes that pack a punch when it comes to flavor – and nutrients! We hope you get a chance to try them out! 

Here are some of our favorite employee recipes: 

Stellar Salad Dressing 

1 cup of your favorite herb (cilantro or parsley are our favorites!), roughly chopped   

½ clove fresh garlic 

¼ cup finely chopped onion 

1 Tbsp. - Dijon mustard 

Tbsp. - Quantum Nutritional Flakes 

¼ Avocado or 2 Tbsp. Quantum Coconut Oil 

3 Tbsp. Organic apple cider vinegar 

¼ - 1/3 cup – purified water 

¼ tsp fresh ground black or white pepper 

Volcanic Pink Salt to taste 

Directions 

Add all ingredients except fresh herbs to a blender and blend until smooth. Add herbs and blend until desired consistency is reached. To make dressing thicker, add more avocado or Quantum Nutritional Flakes. Additional water can be used to thin the dressing.  

Coco-Berry Whey Nuggets 

10 Tbsp. - Quantum Whey Protein 

5 Tbsp. - Organic fruit preserves (we love Strawberry, Raspberry, Black Cherry, and Orange Marmalade) 

3 Tbsp. - Coconut sugar crystals 

1 Tbsp. - Quantum Coconut Oil  

Directions 

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. To reduce stickiness, roll in additional coconut sugar crystals. Form into small balls and serve 

Cold-Busting Winter Elixir  

1-inch piece ginger root 

small lemon 

3 Tbsp. - Quantum Canadian Honey 

Directions: 

Peel and roughly chop ginger. Slice lemon, leaving the peel on. Place ginger and lemon into small, sealable container and cover with honey. Add a small amount to tea or warm water or eat by the spoonful to keep winter stresses at bay. Keep refrigerated.  

 

Golden Milk  

1 ½ - 2 cups coconut or almond milk  

½ tsp. ground turmeric 

¼ -½ tsp. ground cinnamon 

Pinch of Volcanic Pink Salt  

1 Tbsp. - Quantum Coconut Oil   

1 pinch - ground black pepper 

Sweetener of choice (i.e. organic maple syrup, organic coconut sugar, or stevia to taste) 

 Directions: 

To a small saucepan, add coconut milk or almond milk, ground turmeric, cinnamon, Quantum Coconut Oil, black pepper, sweetener of choice, and Volcanic Pink SaltWhisk to combine and warm over medium heat. Heat until hot to the touch, but not boiling – about 4 minutes – whisking frequently. 

Turn off heat and taste to adjust flavor. Add more sweetener to taste or more turmeric for intense flavor. Serve immediately, dividing between two glasses. Best when fresh, though leftovers can be stored covered in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat on the stovetop until hot. 

Power Tomato Soup - For our late night snackers 

1 Tbsp. - Quantum Tomato 

1 cup - hot water (purified) 

To taste: Volcanic Pink Salt, Quantum Nutritional Flakes, fresh garlic, fresh thyme, rosemary, or basil. 

Directions 

Mix Quantum Tomato and hot water together, then heat in a pan until hot to the touch (but not boiling). Pour into a bowl and add seasonings to taste such as Volcanic Pink SaltQuantum Nutritional Flakes, fresh garlic, or herbs such as thyme, rosemary, or basil. Enjoy! 

Perfect Popcorn 

2 cups freshly popped, organic popcorn 

1 TbspQuantum Nutritional Flakes 

1 tsp. - Volcanic Pink Salt 

1 – 2 Tbsp. - Quantum Coconut Oil 

Directions 

Pop the popcorn as usual, then place in a bowl and mix in Quantum Nutritional Flakes, Volcanic Pink Salt and Quantum Coconut Oil. Add more Quantum Nutritional Flakes if desired for a more intense delicious, nutty flavor. Yum! Please enjoy!
